This image resonated almost immediately with viewers when it was posted on 500px, February 15th —reaching the site's highest "pulse" rating of 99.9 within only a few hours. Al Oliver wrote the comments echoed by many that day: "Turn off the lights. Night photography got to the top, the summit, heaven, mount Olympus, with this shot. The best I've seen ever, and I'm sure I'm not the only one to think like that. Extraordinary!"

I can see why this garnered so much attention. Simply stunning. We just made our first visit to Valley of Fire recently, and this is a personality we didn't even get to see! Now I want to go back!
